WAFU-A U20 Women’s Tournament Guinea-Bissau 2026 WAFU-A concludes its training series with the coaches’ workshop

Launched on May 6 with a workshop on protection and safeguarding, the capacity-building program organized alongside the WAFU-A U20 Women’s Tournament, Guinea-Bissau 2026, concluded with a coaching workshop.

This session was designed for the coaches and assistant coaches of the participating national teams, as well as about ten local coaches. Two main themes were addressed: the offensive transition (with a practical on-field session) and the loss of talent between youth categories and the senior national team, exploring the causes, consequences, and possible solutions.

Thus, in collaboration with CAF, WAFU-A continues to play a key role in improving the quality of football in West Africa, ensuring that coaches are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively mentor emerging talent.
